The Controls and Automation Engineer plays a crucial role in the design and execution of automation initiatives at client locations. This position also entails offering troubleshooting and technical assistance as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute automation and control projects.
  • Track and document project hours and activities using the designated project management tools.
  • Address and resolve technical issues to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Work collaboratively with sales and technical teams to fulfill client requirements.
  • Maintain professional competency through ongoing training and development.
  • Advocate for the value of our services in competitive environments.
  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of project management standards and project libraries.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in automation engineering.
  • Proficient in Rockwell Automation Software.
  • Familiarity with Inductive Automation, Wonderware, Siemens, or Eaton is advantageous.
  • Strong expertise in electrical troubleshooting.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage projects effectively.
  • Knowledge of vendor guidelines, compliance, and ethical standards, including those from Rockwell Automation, Siemens, and Eaton.
