POSITION OVERVIEW:
Oversee and direct all sales and marketing efforts within the designated territory to cultivate new client relationships and enhance existing ones. Implement the company's sales strategy and market penetration objectives. Execute all sales initiatives within the territory, ensuring sustained revenue growth and market expansion. Formulate and apply strategies to boost market share by identifying targeted therapeutic specialties within the assigned area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a developing market with several contract sales representatives; handle a higher sales volume than entry-level roles, without direct reports. Engage in the planning, development, and execution of key account strategies and business plans; focus on identifying high-usage physicians and establishing key metropolitan area accounts. Create systems and procedures for key accounts to ensure seamless product usage, optimal patient outcomes, and a positive customer experience. Generate reports (e.g., sales results or forecasts, staff development) and market sales projections, conducting detailed analyses of market opportunities, potential obstacles, and growth strategies. Manage and develop local contract sales representatives, resources, and budgets to meet or exceed sales objectives. Research, analyze, and monitor market-specific sales factors to seize opportunities and ensure the company maintains a competitive advantage and market share growth. Foster and uphold a goal-oriented environment that emphasizes performance, accountability, teamwork, credibility, and success. Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, procedures, and standards. Provide support to the local sales team in the assigned territory, including addressing inquiries, supplying approved company materials, and participating in conference calls and meetings. Coordinate sales activities with assigned accounts, acting as a liaison between the local sales team and contract sales representatives to ensure a unified sales approach and accurate commission distributions. Leverage company contracts and resources to recruit new contract sales representatives, identifying and collaborating with high-usage physicians; develop and manage training programs for new and existing agents to enhance product knowledge and expertise.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. 2-5 years of experience in a related domain with 1-3 years in progressively responsible roles, or demonstrable capability.OR
Master’s degree and 1-3 years of experience in a related field. Certification may be required in certain areas. Preferably 3-4 years of experience in the medical device, biotechnology, and tissue sectors of the healthcare industry. Previous experience in high-growth organizations and building relationships that contribute to organizational growth.SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint). Capable of interacting with all management levels, both internal and external, as well as customers. Ability to influence others to achieve desired outcomes through persistence and diplomacy. Organized, adaptable, and capable of multitasking while maintaining a high level of efficiency and attention to detail. Strong analytical skills, strategic and technical analysis, and problem-solving capabilities. Proficient in market analysis, sales strategy planning, and presenting clinical and scientific data to healthcare professionals. Proven track record of achieving sales results and recognitions. Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals and driving top-line results with a history of exceeding sales targets. Skilled in strategic selling and market analytics. Ability to cultivate a moderate-sized network of relationships with healthcare providers (e.g., physicians, clinicians, program directors).WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is conducted at customer or clinical sites and/or from a home office. When at customer sites, adherence to appropriate dress codes (e.g., scrubs and white coat) and compliance with their credentialing and registration systems, which require up-to-date vaccinations, is mandatory. Regular travel within the assigned territory is expected.
