Compensation: $21.00-$28.00 (based on experience).
Sign-on Bonus: $1,000, payable after 90 days of employment.
Location: Hospice House in Bend, Oregon.
Shift: Minimum of 5 night shifts per month, from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM (12-hour shifts).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personal care as specified in the care plan, ensuring patient privacy and comfort.
  • Evaluate the patient's ability to tolerate treatments prior to initiating care and assess their condition post-care.
  • Collaborate with care managers or registered nurses to maintain an accurate and updated care plan, documenting any changes in patient condition.
  • Assist patients with personal care, mobility, and positioning, while guiding family members or caregivers in personal care tasks.
  • At the Hospice House, prepare and serve meals according to established policies, assisting with feeding as necessary, and perform essential housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe environment for patients and families.
Qualifications:
  • Current CNA License.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and TB tests.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Preferred: 1-2 years of recent medical care experience in an institutional setting, with ideal candidates having home health or hospice experience.
  • Valid automobile insurance, Oregon driver's license, and reliable transportation.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and commitment to patient care.
