As an Associate Sales Representative (ASR), you will serve as a product advisor within the Sports Medicine product line, focusing on soft tissue injury repair and degenerative conditions affecting the shoulder, knee, hip, and smaller joints.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of the Sports Medicine Sales Team, the ASR will collaborate with a team within a designated territory and hospital accounts. Within these accounts, the ASR will be tasked with providing clinical case support in the operating room, managing inventory for those cases, observing, and advising the surgical team on Smith+Nephew instruments and implants, as well as fulfilling logistical requirements associated with those cases. This role requires close collaboration with Sales Representatives in the territory, as well as key orthopedic surgeons, hospital staff, administrators, and clinicians. The position demands the ability to assimilate and master a high level of technical information relevant to surgical procedures.

Essential Qualifications for Success:

Your success hinges on your dedication to becoming a technical authority in the Sports Medicine portfolio through structured training and evaluations while fostering relationships with Sales Representatives and leadership in the territory and region. Your capability to cultivate positive relationships with surgeons, hospital personnel, and colleagues will enhance access to clients, enabling you to provide data-driven, reliable solutions. Working alongside your teammates, you will also create an effective territory business strategy to drive revenue and achieve or surpass your sales targets.

The role calls for professionals who are team-oriented, detail-oriented, and adaptable to work unconventional hours to optimally support the sales team and clients.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years of sales experience in the medical device sector preferred
  • Preferred experience in the healthcare field, particularly in selling orthopedic products
  • Proven history of selling and converting business at the surgeon or hospital level
  • Experience in leading and mentoring team members and new sales representatives

Travel Requirements: Frequent travel within the designated sales territory with occasional overnight stays. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences.
