Program Specialist VI

This position performs highly advanced consultative services and technical assistance work with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment in the Adult Immunization Program. The incumbent will plan, develop, and implement strategies to improve adult immunizations; train and educate staff; manage programs; and ensure internal quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities- Serves as a subject matter expert for the Adult Immunization Program, providing education and technical assistance to the team, internal partners, and stakeholders.
- Writes or updates policies and procedures for the ASN team, communicates with customers verbally and in writing regarding Centers for Disease Control (CDC) notifications and updates.
- Provides recommendations on complex ASN Program policies and procedures to senior management and performs high-level reviews, evaluation, and distribution of immunization vaccine coverage assessment rates to providers, stakeholders, and management.
- Distributes and monitors the work of three staff members in the ASN group and develops and implements the team's performance, reviews travel of all ASN team members, and communicates with customers verbally and in writing.
- Conducts training for other staff on policies and procedures of the ASN Program and prepares and facilitates presentations at local, state, and national conferences to both internal and external stakeholders.
