Job Title: Dispute Resolution Manager VI

Estimated Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dispute Resolution Manager VI to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and activities of the Foster Care Ombudsman (FCO) team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish goals and objectives that align with the overall direction and mission of the HHS Office of the Ombudsman.
  • Manage the daily operations and activities of the FCO team, including coordinating dispute resolution activities, performing advanced customer service, complaint resolution, and provider relations management activities associated with HHS actions, benefits, and services.
  • Oversee the analysis and interpretation of data to determine trends in complaints and produce an annual report for public dissemination.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the team, in coordination with the HHS Ombudsman.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of ombudsman principles and practices, including customer service practices and dispute resolution techniques.
  • Knowledge of HHS and DFPS programs, local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to foster care and protective services.
  • Ability to establish plans and set objectives and goals that support an overall business strategy.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and developing staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
