About the Role

At AnthroMed Education, we are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a role that focuses on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) support. As an SLP with our company, you will have the opportunity to work with students in early childhood settings, providing high-quality speech services and making a meaningful impact on their communication skills and academic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate students' speech-language abilities to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students, adhering to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments, analyze results, and develop reports to identify strengths and areas of concern in speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills
  • Stay current with professional literature, evidence-based research, and continuing education to inform practice decisions
  • Create a supportive learning environment through effective process management strategies
  • Participate in IEP conferences, team meetings, and problem-solving meetings
  • Develop treatment plans in collaboration with instructional staff, focusing on strength-based, child-centered approaches
  • Ensure evaluations, intervention plans, and service delivery align with school, state, and federal guidelines
  • Support teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language delays/disorders
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current Michigan state license or eligibility for licensure
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Experience working with school-aged children
  • Knowledge of special education laws and procedures, including IDEA and IEP development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and colleagues
