Financial Aid Officer Job Description

At the Aviation Institute of Maintenance, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Aid Officer to join our team. As a Financial Aid Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that students receive the financial assistance they need to succeed in their educational pursuits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Aid Processing: Evaluate financial aid applications, process documentation, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
  • Student Support: Provide exceptional support to students by explaining financial aid options, guiding them through the application process, and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with other departments to resolve issues, enhance the student experience, and demonstrate strong analytical and organizational skills.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new financial aid software and systems.
  • Experience: Proprietary school financial aid experience is preferred.
