Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily logistics operations to optimize scheduling and delivery of goods to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure seamless scheduling coordination and maximize adherence to schedules; provide insights on local conditions, identify requirements, and receive guidance on real-time staffing adjustments.
  • Implement contingency plans as necessary; manage and direct activities during system failures or emergencies; identify potential issues, troubleshoot, escalate problems to local and senior management, and engage in post-event analysis to inform future improvements.
  • Monitor ongoing performance metrics against targets; take corrective actions with proper authorization and escalate issues as needed.
  • Provide effective leadership to Warehouse Managers and/or teams, uphold company standards, and serve as a role model.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Progressive experience in operational and plant management roles, ideally within the automotive or logistics sectors.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Proficient in crafting documents using original or innovative techniques; capable of delivering persuasive presentations on complex topics to senior management and clients.
  • Skilled in problem definition, data collection, fact establishment, and drawing valid conclusions.
  • Adept at interpreting a wide range of technical instructions in various formats and managing multiple abstract and concrete variables.
  • Strong personal computer skills, including email, record keeping, routine database management, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics.
