East Carolina University Fitness Program Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Fitness Program Assistant. This role is ideal for students looking to gain experience in the fitness industry, develop leadership skills, and make a positive impact on campus.

About the Role:

  • This 35-hour per week position involves planning, coordinating, marketing, and managing various fitness programs, events, and activities.
  • You will work closely with the fitness program team to deliver exceptional experiences for students, faculty, and staff.
  • Your responsibilities will include executing daily fitness studio checklists, teaching group fitness classes, administering fitness assessments, and assisting with small group personal training sessions.
  • You will also help plan and coordinate fall special events, assist with fitness and wellness marketing efforts, and participate in outreach initiatives.
  • Average salary: $25,000 - $30,000 per year.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant coursework in a related field (exercise science, kinesiology, etc.).
  • Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • Computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
