Accountabilities / Responsibilities:


The Infection Control Specialist is tasked with the critical role of ensuring the cleanliness, processing, and sterilization of medical instruments in accordance with established standards and manufacturer guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough cleaning and assembly of instrument trays for sterilization
• Sort, wrap, and accurately label instruments and supplies
• Make necessary substitutions for any damaged or missing instruments
• Perform sterilization of supplies using autoclave equipment, adhering to facility protocols
• Monitor sterile items for expiration dates and manage stock rotation
• Report any lost instruments to the supervisor
• Maintain compliance with standards for cleaning and sterilizing contaminated items
• Oversee autoclave operations, ensuring proper temperature and functionality, and report any issues to the appropriate personnel

Qualifications:
• Certification in sterile processing is required
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a sterile processing role
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a team
• Physical stamina is essential for the role
• Excellent communication skills are necessary for success

Compensation:
• Minimum: USD $19.00/Hr.
• Maximum: USD $26.00/Hr.
