Position: RN - Wound Care/Infection Control and Education Nurse

Available Shift:
- Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily monitoring of bathing procedures to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Perform weekly audits of skin assessments.
- Participate in weekly rounds with Tissue Analytics.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation.
- Process wound care orders and coordinate with the pharmacy.
- Conduct skin assessments for all new admissions within 24 hours.
- May be required to serve as charge nurse when necessary.
- Participate in weekend on-call rotation with nursing management.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions to provide optimal care and guidance.
- Observe and interpret patient symptoms, communicating findings to physicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create tailored care plans for patients.
- Inspect facilities to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
- Provide immediate medical assistance in emergencies.
- Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and their families.
- Enhance knowledge and skills through participation in educational workshops and conferences.
- Implement infection control measures.
- Facilitate staff development training and education.
Qualifications:
- Wound Care Certification (WCC, WOCN) required.
- Valid RN license in the state of Nebraska.
- Current CPR certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong team-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated responsibility and compassion in patient care.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance.
