Job Title: Vice President of Engineering

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Vice President of Engineering to lead our engineering operations. This is a direct hire, permanent placement position with a long-standing client headquartered in Indianapolis, IN.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will oversee a multi-site operation, standardizing processes, implementing best practices, providing coaching and mentorship to engineering staff, and ensuring compliance to safety and quality standards. This role will also be responsible for executing large CAPEX projects across engineering and maintenance disciplines, business expansions and acquisitions, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of efficient engineering operations across the multi-site operation
  • Develop and implement new technologies, processes, and strategies to meet company goals
  • Identify and implement best practices through collaborating with staff across the network
  • Write SOPs and standardize practices to ensure consistency
  • Lead engineering projects and keep leadership informed of project status and updates
  • Implement cost savings initiatives and partner with plant staff through their execution
  • Manage growth plans and remain proactive with capital projects in order to sustain growth
  • Foster a proactive and positive safety culture and ensure compliance with safety policies and quality assurance standards
  • Serve as a mentor for engineering team and demonstrate highly effective principles of engineering
  • Develop strategic goals, establish systems for tracking results and continuous improvement, and ensure that organizational objectives and daily activities are on pace to meet customer needs
  • Partner with site and department leaders and employees and provide technical problem-solving and engineering expertise as needed
Requirements
  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related STEM degree
  • Minimum of 15+ years of engineering experience at the plant-level
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience with direct oversight of engineering staff
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience leading a multi-site organization
  • Must be willing to travel up to 20-30% (including out of state travel)
  • Preference toward candidates who have served in Director and/or VP positions at the Corporate-level
  • Must have experience designing and leading multi-million-dollar CAPEX projects from cradle to grave
  • Must have demonstrated ability to influence and align organizational strategies to maximize talent capability and behaviors
  • Must possess the ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and integrity while executing responsibilities

Compensation: $175,000.00 to $200,000.00 per year
