Job Overview

We are seeking a Fire Sprinkler Test & Inspection Technician to become a vital part of our organization.

Compensation: Hourly pay ranges from $22 to $44, contingent upon qualifications, certifications, and relevant experience.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and testing of various fire sprinkler systems and hood suppression systems.
  • Evaluate backflow prevention devices in accordance with USC 10 and local regulations, noting that separate certifications may be required based on jurisdiction.
  • Collaborate with teams to facilitate all forms of life safety system evaluations.
  • Document testing results following NFPA and local standards.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, relaying information to relevant personnel for follow-up and addressing inquiries or concerns.
  • Communicate any deficiencies identified during inspections to clients, providing clarity on issues and their resolutions.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in fire sprinkler systems.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • NICET II certification in Water-based systems is preferred.
  • Oregon Backflow Assembly Tester Certification is a plus.
  • Certificate of Fitness (COF) for Fire Sprinkler/Underground/Fire Extinguisher/Fire Suppression is desirable.
  • Proficient in basic computer operations, including Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, and Android.
  • A valid state-issued driver's license with a satisfactory driving record is essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Regularly lift and transport toolboxes, tools, equipment, and parts.
  • Capability to push or pull weights up to 50 pounds.
