Job Summary

At COSCO Fire Protection, we are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler System Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD design and a passion for creating accurate and detailed fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design fire protection sprinkler systems with precision and attention to detail.
  • Review work orders and procedural manuals to determine critical dimensions and design systems within allocated timeframes.
  • Calculate figures to convert design dimensions to resizing dimensions for production, layout, and installation processes.
  • Submit design plans for approval and obtain necessary permits.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design staff to determine design modifications and enter editing information into computer systems.
  • Produce graphic representations of designs for review and approval.
  • Make final sketches of proposed drawings, checking dimensions, materials, and part relationships.
  • Revised designs to ensure practicality and accuracy.
  • Draft detailed multi-view drawings of layouts and systems.

Requirements
  • One year certificate from college or technical school, or 48 to 60 months of related experience and/or training in fire sprinkler system design.
  • NICET Level 1 Certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of CAD design software and Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to read blueprints and make technical presentations.
  • Sound working knowledge of NFPA 13 and related codes.
