Job Summary
"> We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Bon Secours Hospital. The ideal candidate will have experience in specimen collection and phlebotomy procedures, as well as strong communication skills. The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year.

">About the Role
"> In this role, you will be responsible for performing phlebotomy and specimen collection procedures using the Lab Information System (LIS) and Hospital Information System (HIS). You will also process specimens for diagnostic testing and referral testing, ensuring accurate registration and sorting according to insurance.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect blood samples from patients using various techniques.
  • Process and send out specimens and body fluids to laboratories for analysis.
  • Enter orders into LIS/HIS systems.
  • Accomplish tasks such as centrifugation and aliquotting of samples as required.
  • Generate reports and provide patient registration services.
  • Maintain inventory levels and stock supplies.


">Licensure and Certifications:
"> A Phlebotomy Certification is preferred but not required. However, having this certification can increase your chances of being hired for this role.

">Work Experience:
"> 1 year of phlebotomy experience is preferred but not necessary. If you have prior experience working in a laboratory or healthcare setting, it may be beneficial.
