Job Description

New Mexico Donor Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Organ Recovery Coordinator to join our team. As a critical care nurse with a passion for organ donation, you will play a vital role in saving lives by facilitating the organ donation process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate patient suitability for organ donation by reviewing medical records and consulting with medical staff.
  2. Coordinate organ placement and allocation with transplant programs and surgeons.
  3. Coordinate and assist in the surgical recovery of organs and peri-operative management.
  4. Provide support to donor families and conduct medical/social history interviews.
  5. Update donor information into electronic medical records.

Requirements:

  • Two plus years prior experience in a critical care setting.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and multitask.
  • Exceptional teamwork, interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills.
  • Registered Nursing (RN) License.
  • Valid Driver's License with the ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements.
