Responsibilities
  • Perform patient check-in and registration, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of patient information.
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member or department.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient schedules to ensure timely and efficient care.
  • Collect and process patient payments, including copays and deductible amounts.
  • Prepare patient charts and ensure all necessary information is complete and up-to-date.
  • Conduct patient check-out procedures, including pricing services and collecting patient responsibility payments.
  • Perform record filing and retrieval, and assist with the filing of registration documentation in electronic medical records.
  • Confirm next day appointments and alert patients to any necessary documentation or payment requirements.
  • Follow up with patients regarding missed appointments and send out appropriate communications.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of insurance authorization and billing requirements.
