About The Highlands at Harbor Springs

We are a premier ski resort seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Ski Instructor to join our team. As a Ski Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and inspiring a love of skiing in our visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Set up a safe and engaging learning environment for guests of all skill levels.
  • Communicate effectively with students, supervisors, and colleagues to ensure seamless operations.
  • Pass on your knowledge and passion for skiing to others, fostering a growth mindset and a love for the sport.
  • Work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, adapting to changing winter weather conditions.
  • Provide exceptional guest service, maintaining a positive attitude even in challenging situations.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 40 lbs and skiing for extended periods.
Qualifications
  • 18+ years of age.
  • Reliable, dependable, and timely.
  • PSIA/AASI Certified Level 1 status (or international equivalent) is strongly encouraged.
  • Basic English language skills.
  • Previous experience in ski instructing is preferred.
Work Environment

The Ski Instructor position is a full-time, part-time, peak part-time, or temporary role, depending on candidate availability. Typical work hours are 8:30am-4:30pm, with some evening programs possible.

Must be available for weekends, weekdays, and holidays. Some instructional programs occur in the evening after 4:30pm but never after 9:00pm.
