About the Role:

We are in search of a skilled Financial Accounting Manager who possesses a strong background in financial reporting, tax compliance, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the accounting team, providing mentorship and fostering professional development.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data, including month-end close processes and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports, collaborating with the Director of Finance as necessary.
  • Manage payroll processes and support payroll functions as needed.
  • Handle periodic federal and state tax filings, including various forms such as W-2 and 1099.
  • Supervise compliance with Title 31 regulations.
  • Maintain high-quality operations within the Accounting Department.
  • Verify all gaming and financial audits, acting as a liaison for external auditors.
  • Establish and implement departmental policies and procedures.
  • Review daily financial reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and supervise the Soft Count Department.
  • Perform additional finance and accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; CPA designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience is necessary.
  • Previous supervisory experience is essential.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills are required.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with accounting and payroll software is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
  • Ability to address inquiries from guests and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Licensing Requirement:
  • Class III Gaming License is required.
