Job Summary
Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking a highly skilled Customer Account Coordinator to join our Commercial Organization. This role plays a critical part in developing and executing our company's strategy and business plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer orders from placement to settlement, ensuring compliance with records requirements and accurate entry into our Electronic Storage System.
- Collaborate with territory sales managers to discuss key accounts and projects, facilitating follow-up and communication.
- Reconcile and verify customer purchase orders against quotes, advising on exceptions and deviations.
- Liaise with plant and transportation partners to coordinate on-time pickups and deliveries.
- Support customer relationships, manage inventory, and expedite shipments as needed.
- Utilize SAP system elements to investigate, analyze, and resolve problems.
- Provide coverage for team members and work outside of normal business hours as required.
- Travel is necessary for this role, with less than 10% of time spent on the road.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED and 3+ years of customer service and sales negotiation experience.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking capabilities.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment that prioritizes customer service and business growth.
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of polyethylene pipe products.
