Job Overview:

Position: Parts Coordinator

Compensation: Starting from $37,440 to $52,000 +
based on experience and location

The Parts Coordinator is responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer experience by effectively managing the ordering, receiving, storing, dispatching, and returning of parts for each repair order. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality and accuracy of parts received, aligned with production schedules and vehicle requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the WOW (Wow Operating Way) strategy consistently.
  • Communicate customer needs and requests to relevant team members.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to order and receive parts as specified in repair orders, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Distribute parts to the shop in a timely manner according to the production schedule.
  • Record all parts invoices in the designated Management Information System (MIS).
  • Label and track parts by Repair Order number, ensuring proper storage with vehicles and scheduled repairs.
  • Monitor performance of parts and vendors, and reconcile parts vendor invoice reports daily.
  • Ensure timely posting and filing of invoices and credit memos.
  • Verify vendor invoices reflect the correct negotiated discounts to maintain profit margins.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3+ years of experience in automotive parts management (experience with auto body parts is a plus).
  • Strong customer service orientation and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification).
Required Skills:
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of vehicle repair practices.
  • Familiarity with Management Information Systems: Summit, Repair Centre.
  • Proficient in parts sourcing platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Above-average computer and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to bend, crouch, reach, and handle tools.
  • Lift materials exceeding 50 lbs.
