Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the accurate and timely completion of client accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and client-specific requirements.
  • Monitor client accounts, identifying any issues or discrepancies and taking appropriate actions to resolve them.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities, collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify trends, variances, and areas of improvement, providing insights and recommendations to clients and management.
Client Communication and Support
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships based on trust and professionalism.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, addressing inquiries, providing guidance, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Understand clients' business objectives and challenges and provide strategic financial advice and recommendations.
Team Management
  • Lead and supervise a team of accountants, providing guidance, coaching, and support.
  • Assign and prioritize tasks, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources and meeting client deadlines.
  • Provide constructive feedback, and identify training and development needs.

Process Improvement and Compliance

  • Implement best practices and streamline workflows to optimize productivity and quality of deliverables.
  • Stay updated with accounting regulations and industry trends, implementing changes as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and client-specific requirements.
Requirements
  • Prior and current general accounting experience in public accounting, corporate or private business.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Thorough understanding of intermediate accounting principles.
  • Proficient knowledge of accounting software, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • CPA license.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, NetSuite.
