Job Overview:
The Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a Division Director to lead the Division of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology. The successful candidate will report directly to the Department of Internal Medicine Chair and will be responsible for leading the division in alignment with the tripartite clinical care, research, and education missions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support a broad-based clinical portfolio, including quality-driven consultative and procedural needs of UC Physicians and the Primary Care Network.
- Develop a roadmap to expand clinical and basic science research in the division.
- Develop a plan for the optimal utilization of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
- Participate in strategic development conversations and set clinical productivity targets for staff.
- Fiscal oversight of divisional finances and setting annual academic, clinical, and research goals.
- Participate in the Department of Internal Medicine Chair's Council of Champions and faculty and staff recruitment/mentorship.
- Meet with departmental and administrative leaders and address concerns from staff, patients, providers, and others.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance multidisciplinary approaches and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Board certification in Rheumatology or Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology.
- Unrestricted Ohio Medical License.
- Current faculty appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
- At least 10 years of clinical experience, with demonstrated leadership and management experience at a medical facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA and/or strong business acumen.
- Previous success in building and leading a large, interdisciplinary team.
- Experience with communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision making.
