Job Overview

This Construction Project Manager/Estimator position offers a unique opportunity to join a growing construction company in Brookings, SD. With a salary range of $80,000 to over $100,000 per year (DOE), we offer an attractive compensation package that includes comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly analyze project documents and blueprints to comprehend project specifics and requirements.
  • Develop accurate cost estimates through meticulous take-off calculations.
  • Nurture partnerships with suppliers and subcontractors via regular communication and negotiation.
  • Oversee project finances by maintaining precise records of essential documents, such as submittals, RFIs, change orders, invoices, payments, and lien releases.
  • Collaborate closely with site managers to synchronize schedules, labor resources, equipment usage, materials acquisition, and subcontractor engagement.
  • Continuously monitor project budgets to guarantee compliance with budgeted goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent field of study.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in managing vertical building projects.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word, along with proficiency in relevant estimating and project management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other external partners.
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Capacity to multitask, work independently, and lead teams with authority and confidence.
