SUNY Brockport is seeking highly qualified part-time adjunct faculty members to teach video, journalism, media writing, and theory-based courses in the Department of Journalism, Broadcasting, and Public Relations.
Key Responsibilities- Teach video, journalism, media writing, and theory-based courses to undergraduate students.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the department's curriculum.
- Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum and programs.
- Master's degree in media/communication or a related field from a college or university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized institution.
- Substantial professional experience in a media field, or a combination of education and experience.
- Doctorate or MFA in media/communication or a related field, or more than 10 years of professional experience in a media field, is preferred.
- Substantial teaching experience is also preferred.
Adjunct faculty members will work on a part-time basis, teaching variable schedules. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
BenefitsAdjunct faculty members are eligible for benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans. The salary for this position is $4,000 per 3-credit course.
