Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Principal Systems Administrator to join our team at Westlake. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process for numerous applications, with a primary focus on Meridium/APM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with business sponsors and owners to ensure user satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including detailed plans, milestones, and work breakdown structures.
  • Manage project life cycles, including scope, resources, schedule, initiation, start-up/design, building, and deployment.
  • Coordinate project documents and obtain sign-off from stakeholders.
  • Follow up with assigned resources to manage productivity, project timelines, and deliverables.
  • Conduct lessons learned meetings to validate commitments and identify gaps and shortfalls.
  • Balance multiple projects and deployment schedules to meet stakeholder goals and expectations.
  • Communicate potential conflicts and problems to management and assess project team member contributions.
  • Oversee requirements gathering and development of requirements documentation.
  • Support and maintain applications, evaluate functional specifications, and provide technical consulting as needed.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Fully support Company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience as a business and/or project analyst with Meridium/APM.
  • 5+ years of experience with delivery of application solutions.
  • Experience with integration of enterprise applications.
  • Strong Project Management skills, with PMP certification an asset.
  • Excellent understanding of SLCP and SDLC.
  • Expert troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
  • Strong systems analysis and design skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to balance multiple job assignments.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work in a short period with little supervision.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to attend training courses, learn, and apply new technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong command of MS Office tool set and MS Project.
Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, and some work may be required in operating units that can require usage of required PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection.
