Position Overview:
As an IT Asset Management Coordinator, you will play a vital role in overseeing the lifecycle of IT assets within our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass the meticulous tracking, management, and documentation of both hardware and software assets to ensure compliance with established policies.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain an accurate and current database of IT hardware and software assets, ensuring all information is detailed and up-to-date.
2. Manage unassigned equipment and oversee inventories of consumables and accessories.
3. Track software assets, including licenses and renewal dates, while facilitating the recovery of licenses from off-boarded customers.
4. Adhere to federal and organizational policies for the disposal of excess or non-functional assets, including degaussing processes.
5. Participate in annual asset audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Daily Tasks:
- Ensure that all end-user IT assets are tracked and managed according to asset management policies.
- Collaborate with technical support teams for asset verification, repair, recovery, and disposal.
- Regularly update and maintain the asset database, ensuring timely and accurate information.
- Conduct physical audits of IT assets and manage inventory checks.
- Oversee the coordination of disposal pickups and maintain records of associated processes.
- Monitor daily ServiceNow queues and manage tickets effectively.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in IT procurement and asset management.
- Familiarity with asset lifecycle management processes, including planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, and disposal.
- Proficient in utilizing asset management tools and automated discovery systems.
- Understanding of various IT assets, such as laptops, printers, mobile devices, and software.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to analyze complex data and generate user-friendly reports.
- A positive and patient customer service attitude is essential.
- Must be able to obtain agency suitability clearance prior to start date.
