Dialysis Charge Registered Nurse

As a Dialysis Charge Registered Nurse with Fresenius Medical Care North America, you will play a critical role in coordinating facility operations and patient procedures to ensure the provision of quality patient care on a daily basis. You will work closely with the Facility Manager, facility staff, and physicians to drive quality standards and meet regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Support and drive quality standards through Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives
- Assist with implementing quality goals and developing facility-specific action plans
- Ensure outstanding quality of patient care by working with management to ensure policies and procedures are followed
- Coordinate all aspects of patient care with appropriate staff members, from admission through discharge
- Act as a resource for staff to address patient concerns and questions
- Ensure patient procedures are scheduled in a timely manner and facility capacity is utilized efficiently
- Oversee and ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient treatments from admission to discharge
- Administer medications and IV conscious sedation to patients as directed by physician orders
- Ensure regular and effective communication with physicians on an as-needed basis
- Participate in cost control initiatives and ensure efficient utilization of medication, laboratory, inventory, supplies, and equipment
- 8 years' related experience
- 3+ years' supervisory or project/program management experience preferred
- Minimum of three years' experience in an Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology, and ICU/CCU experience
- Minimum of three years of Interventional Radiology, scrub experience preferred
- Supervisory or management experience within a medical or vascular access environment preferred
- Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite and experience with Medical database software

Day-to-day work includes desk and personal computer work and interaction with patients, facility staff, and physicians. The position requires travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community. Travel to regional, Business Unit, and Corporate meetings may be required.
Education:Bachelor's Degree preferred; Advanced Degree desirable
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.). Current appropriate state licensure and ACLS certification.
