Job Summary

PROMESA R.H.C.F. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Recertification Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our housing compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of tenant recertifications, leasing, and compliance with federal, state, and city regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process initial, annual, and interim recertifications, as well as retroactive rent calculations, in accordance with HUD regulations and HPD guidelines.
  • Track and implement renewal schedules for each portfolio, ensuring compliance with the 120-day recertification period.
  • Ensure all leases for PVB units are approved 90 days prior to the recertification period to facilitate leasing rent increases.
  • Complete monthly reporting and maintain a 95% benchmark completion rate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in Yardi.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Knowledge of Section 8, LIHTC, and HUD regulations
  • Detail-oriented and able to operate in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Notary and COS or tax credit certification preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Yardi experience preferred
