Key Responsibilities:

General Duties:

  • Comprehend the workflow between various production stages, including inserting, vulcanizing, coupling assembly, and testing.
  • Familiarize yourself with the production timeline.
  • Safely manage and lift fire hoses in all settings, including long lengths or reels, and effectively palletize heavy coils.
  • Prepare and package products for shipment appropriately.
  • Understand the stencil process and accurately interpret stencil specifications when necessary.
  • Learn to connect hoses to adapters and utilize all safety devices.
  • Operate controls to test hoses at the required pressure levels.
  • Master the draining process for hose coils.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Must be physically capable of working in a manner that ensures safety for oneself and others, and proficient in the use of machinery and tools.
  • Ability to assess quality using gauges, tools, specifications, and charts.
  • Proficient in completing all necessary documentation for various tasks.
  • Basic computer skills are required to perform job functions.
  • Possess problem-solving skills with a strong mechanical aptitude, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate issues to supervisors or quality technicians that may impact operational performance or product quality.
  • This is an entry-level position.
Work Environment:

Employees may encounter wet and humid conditions, as well as exposure to dust, fumes, gases, and chemicals. There may be instances of working near high temperatures and moving machinery.

Education and Training:

This role necessitates on-the-job training. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required for eligibility.
