About the Role

Berry Global is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to ensure the efficient operation of our manufacturing equipment and automated production lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and production lines.
  • Manage capital expenditure projects and recommend new technologies and processes to improve quality, productivity, and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Responsible for manufacturing efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction.
  • Utilize data to identify trends and guide continuous improvement activities.
  • Support and troubleshoot multi-discipline machine technology, including mechanical, electrical, controls, PLCs, vision systems, and drives.
  • Provide process and mechanical training to current and new operators and technicians.
  • Provide technical support in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Accountable for personal adherence to all applicable safety, GMP, food safety, and plant policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background with excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Able to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to draw in 2D and 3D software.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to create and deliver training to a multi-disciplinary group of individuals.
