Marine Service Technician

Position Summary:
As a Marine Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of vessels up to 32 feet in length. Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools, you will test and repair boat engines, rigging, and navigational systems. Your role will also include the installation and testing of sanitation systems, electrical systems, steering mechanisms, and various boating accessories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections, maintenance, and repairs on boats up to 32 feet.
- Employ diagnostic equipment to evaluate and repair boat engines, rigging, and navigational systems.
- Install and test sanitation and electrical systems, steering gear, and additional accessories.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace vessel systems and components, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of marine systems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Possess and utilize personal tools; shop tools will be provided as necessary.
- Be available for overtime work to meet project deadlines.
Technical and Physical Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Technical school training is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
- ABYC and/or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
- Ability to work at heights and carry out physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Basic boat handling skills are preferred.
- Experience with Yamaha Outboard Engines is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time
Compensation:
$30.46 per hour
