Position Summary:

The MEP Project Manager will oversee project execution from start to finish. This role involves organizing and managing project components, ensuring optimal resource allocation, and maintaining financial oversight. Additionally, the Project Manager will cultivate and strengthen client relationships while promoting the Precis brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams for diverse projects across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic sectors.
  • Establish new client relationships and enhance existing ones.
  • Assess project and client requirements, performance metrics, and conduct technical evaluations.
  • Draft proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Identify project phases and requirements; allocate resources effectively.
  • Develop design principles and guidelines; present initial design concepts.
  • Represent Precis and the project team during client meetings and presentations.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and ensure accountability for project quality.
  • Prepare and evaluate system calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Monitor project timelines, coordinate activities, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Manage project budgets and evaluate performance using key performance indicators.
  • Compile project status reports through data collection and analysis; suggest necessary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and maintain standards for operations in GMP environments.
  • Oversee accurate invoicing and address any billing discrepancies that may occur.
  • Facilitate internal and external communications to ensure project objectives are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively, lead teams, and manage multiple clients in a matrix environment.
  • Experience in technical leadership, project scheduling, cost management, and scope definition.
  • Strong skills in delegation, mentoring, negotiation, and teamwork.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Creative problem-solving capabilities with logical reasoning.
  • Understanding of budget management principles.
  • Familiarity with a range of industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
