Position Summary:

Under general supervision, the Parts Processor will perform a variety of tasks in a dynamic, schedule-driven environment to prepare components or subassemblies for subsequent stages in the production workflow, including external processing (anodizing, powder coating), internal assembly, and packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Skillfully remove machining imperfections from components through manual blending, polishing, and edge break creation on precision parts.
  • Execute processing tasks such as graining, hardware installation, masking, deburring, and cleaning.
  • Prepare chemical solutions and baths for pre-treatment and cleaning of components.
  • Inspect manufactured parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures in all work aspects, including tool setup, process verification, product inspection, documentation, and material handling.
  • Utilize hand and air tools for parts processing; operate forklifts as necessary.
  • Maintain organized documentation, including certifications, work orders, and process sheets.
  • Foster a safe working environment by monitoring employee practices and addressing issues as needed.
  • Ensure parts processing meets established quality standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support Shop Floor Control with tasks such as material cutting and facility maintenance.
  • Assist Receiving and Materials Management with loading/unloading materials and recycling scrap.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts.
  • Help with packaging customer orders.
  • Transport parts and materials as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic mathematical skills or industrial mathematics preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Capability to set up and use various measuring instruments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment:

  • This position is situated in a machining environment characterized by frequent noise, with a combination of standing and sitting for extended periods. Fine motor skills and frequent hand and arm movements are required, along with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear protection) may be necessary. Operation of moving equipment (forklift) may be required to fulfill essential job functions.
