Key Responsibilities
  • Transport parts and materials between the machine shop and inspection areas.
  • Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and equipment.
  • Ensure the machine shop is clean and organized, including removing trash and sweeping as required.
  • Operate forklifts and move pallets of goods throughout the shop floor.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years of general assistant experience in a large machinery/equipment-manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to read a tape measure required.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus.
  • Valid state driver's license in good standing required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English required.
  • Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.
  • Conduct oneself with the highest level of professionalism and ethical standards.
