Overview
  • ASM Global, a leader in the management of public assembly venues, is seeking a dedicated Beverage Service Assistant. This role is crucial in delivering exceptional customer service during events, ensuring guest satisfaction, and providing assistance across various service points within the venue.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support all food and beverage operations related to the bars.
  • Assist in the procurement, receiving, and inventory management of all essential items.
  • Monitor stock levels to guarantee proper storage of products.
  • Ensure that high-quality items are served promptly as directed by the Bar Manager.
  • Collaborate effectively with Suite Staff, Kitchen Personnel, and the Stewarding department.
  • Adhere to grooming and sanitation standards.
  • Adapt to event schedules and assignments based on operational needs.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service in accordance with service standards.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • TABC certification is required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of cash register operations and cash handling procedures is necessary.
  • Competency in basic math skills for accurate cash handling.
  • Familiarity with bar operations is beneficial.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret documents effectively.
  • Proficient in basic arithmetic operations.
  • Capability to follow instructions in various formats.
  • Effective communication skills for relaying instructions via radio.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including daytime, evening, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain accuracy.
  • Adaptability to changing situations as they arise.
Physical Requirements
  • This position requires regular movement throughout the facility, standing for extended periods during events, and effective communication.
  • Work may occur indoors or outdoors based on event requirements.
  • Physical tasks include stooping and lifting, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to waist height.
