Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic employment attorney who can provide expert advice and counsel on a broad range of employment law and employee relations matters.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the streamlining of updated processes and workflows, and will be responsible for providing day-to-day strategic support to Human Resources and Operations leaders at all levels of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic support to Human Resources and Operations leaders on employment law issues, including hiring, performance management, terminations, accommodations, leaves of absence, wage and hour issues, discrimination and harassment claims, internal investigations, restrictive covenants, etc.
  • Actively manage disputes and commercial and employment litigation matters, including managing outside counsel and responding to administrative charges and complaints, demand letters, and other claims.
  • Draft and advise on a wide range of employment-related documents, including employment agreements, consulting agreements, separation and settlement agreements, and cease and desist letters.
  • Monitor changes to laws, regulations, and case law affecting the business, and educate stakeholders on how legal matters apply to the business.
  • Manage and participate in internal and external discovery activities, respond to third-party subpoenas and other similar requests/demands.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of company policies, procedures, and practices for the company's workforce.
  • Conduct and oversee compliance and regulatory audits.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Legal team on inter-departmental issues and special projects.
Requirements
  • J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Admission to the Bar of a U.S. state, membership in good standing.
  • 4+ years of employment counseling and litigation experience, preferably including prior in-house and management-side experience.
  • Multi-state experience is beneficial but not required. Immigration experience is a plus.
What We Offer

The base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 - $155,000. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
