Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine clinical and administrative tasks, including taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications.
  • Answer phone calls, register new patients, schedule appointments, and collect and post fees.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical laboratory procedures, and healthcare operations and workflow
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Ability to move up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Healthcare-related courses
  • 1 year of Medical Assistant Experience
  • 6 months experience with documentation in an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
  • Phlebotomy training
