Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Vice President of Clinical Applications, this role collaborates with the Epic Application team and the Principal Trainer to design, execute, and sustain the Epic Training Program.
Flexibility is essential, as the role may require evening and weekend hours. The position entails 50% travel to various NOMS locations, which may necessitate overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously learn and remain informed about new Epic application content and training resources.
- Support the Principal Trainer in creating and revising training materials.
- Deliver information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Provide follow-up assistance to trainees outside of formal training sessions.
- Act as a knowledgeable educator for internal personnel.
- Conduct training sessions for staff and end users on technical subjects as required.
- Offer on-the-spot support to end users as necessary.
Qualifications for Success:
- Proven experience in an educational or training role.
- Ability to adapt to changes in training content and delivery methods.
- Exhibit a cooperative and approachable demeanor, taking time to address questions or concerns from others.
- Capability to develop and present formal presentations, engaging the audience and effectively managing inquiries or challenges.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Experience in education and/or training.
- Familiarity with Epic applications.
- Understanding of medical office workflows.
- A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in information systems, preferably in a healthcare environment.
Additional Information:
- Flexibility is required, including potential evening and weekend hours.
- The role necessitates 50% travel to various NOMS locations, which may involve overnight stays.
Work Environment:
This position operates within a professional office setting. The role typically utilizes standard office equipment such as laptops and smartphones, with minimal exposure to communicable diseases.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Normal office environment. Work is generally performed at a desk or table, requiring the use of standard office equipment. The role involves intermittent sitting, standing, and bending. Prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen may occur. The work environment can be stressful at times, with constant and interruptive interaction with others.
