Kitchen Manager Job Summary:
As a highly skilled and experienced kitchen manager for Sliders Restaurant Group, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen functions, including food purchasing, preparation, and maintenance of quality standards. This role requires exceptional leadership and organizational skills to ensure seamless operations, guest satisfaction, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation strategies to optimize efficiency and quality.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food presentation, portion control, and cost management.
- Ensure accurate ordering, receiving, and storage of ingredients and supplies to minimize waste and excess.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to plan and price menu items, establish portion sizes, and prepare standard recipes for new menu additions.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety protocols, and ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and implement waste reduction strategies to minimize food cost and maximize profitability.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring prompt delivery of high-quality food products and addressing any guest concerns or complaints.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, teamwork, and ongoing learning and development.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in varied kitchen positions, including food preparation, line cook, fry cook, and expediter.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with kitchen staff, management, and guests.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
