Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Porter/Custodial to join our team at Big Y. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and attractive store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize the meat cutting area, kitchen, and bakery area to ensure a high level of food safety and quality.
  • Maintain proper department conditions and supplies, including racks, sales floor, bottle redemption area, closets, and workstations.
  • Operate equipment and machinery safely and efficiently to perform maintenance and janitorial duties.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
