Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist

At Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Frisco, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist to provide superior quality laboratory testing support under the general direction of the Laboratory Director. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides accurate and reliable laboratory testing results
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of laboratory procedures, instrumentation, and quality control
  • Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Assists in troubleshooting and training new staff members
  • Manages daily workload in a productive manner
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science
  • At least one year of experience in a hospital laboratory
  • Certification by one of the following accrediting agencies: MT/MLS (ASCP) or categorical, MT (AMT), MLT (ASCP)
  • CPR certification
  • Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards
  • Basic computer skills
