We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at United Hospital Center. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in coordination with licensed medical staff.
Key Responsibilities- Observe and report all patient concerns/changes in condition to a registered nurse immediately.
- Assist the Registered Nurse with admission, transfer, discharge, and general patient care duties.
- Record vital signs, assist with personal hygiene, and other patient comfort measures.
- Assist in specimen collection and other activities of assigned patients.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe environment to prevent and/or control infections and ensure patient, visitor, and employee safety.
- Communicate with RN regarding nutrition issues, such as poor appetite or lack of understanding of diet changes.
- Assist with administrative tasks to support department operations.
- Respond to patient call bells and relay messages to appropriate personnel.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
- Prior patient care experience.
