Job Title: Assistant Architect

At New York State, we are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Architect to join our team. As an Assistant Architect, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and technical review of architectural projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, engineers, and consultants to ensure project success.
  • Participate in the architectural review of consultants' work and consult with stakeholders on project feasibility and acceptability.
  • Assist in the preparation of project scopes and budgets for Authority projects.
  • Review and evaluate stakeholders' Scope of Work for new building designs or rehabilitation projects.
  • Translate Scope of Work into an architectural program reflecting project requirements.
  • Prepare working drawings and plans for in-house designed projects.
  • Assist with responding to Requests for Information and preparing Amendments during the bidding phase.
  • Make periodic inspections to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications during construction.

  • Additional credentials or background checks may be required for some positions.
