Key Responsibilities:- Manage and coordinate all aspects of land surveying projects, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Conduct field surveys and measurements using modern surveying equipment, such as total stations and GPS.
- Prepare maps, diagrams, and reports detailing the results of surveys and ensuring their accuracy.
- Determine property boundaries and provide advice on boundary issues.
- Collaborate with civil, architects, construction personnel, and planners to provide surveying information for construction and development projects.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and codes.
- Stay up to date with new surveying technology and industry developments.
- Provide advice on property and legal issues related to boundaries and surveying.
- Resolve discrepancies in survey results.
- Maintain detailed records of all surveying activities and ensure data integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying or Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the states of OH or WV or IN or KY.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of professional surveying experience, with a strong background in land surveying, cadastral mapping, and survey control.
- Proficiency or working knowledge in AutoCAD and GIS systems.
- Good understanding of property law and regulations related to land surveying.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent mathematical skills and proficiency in performing complex calculations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
