Position Overview:
An exceptional opportunity awaits a driven professional to lead and enhance the quality of outpatient Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy services within the UNM Hospitals framework.

Team Leadership:
Oversee a dedicated team of four outpatient supervisors across multiple locations. Our primary focus includes specialized hand therapy for patients requiring Occupational Therapy.

Physical Therapy Services:
Our offerings encompass general orthopaedics and Physical Therapy at various locations, including pelvic floor services integrated with Uro-Gynecology, chronic pain management in collaboration with the Pain Consultation and Treatment Center, and specialized care for movement disorders and neurological conditions.

Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation:
This service is delivered by a skilled team of exercise physiologists located within the rehabilitation services department.

Collaboration:
The successful candidate will work in close partnership with the Executive Director for Rehabilitation Services and coordinate with inpatient teams across various disciplines, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and Audiology.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Direct the coordination and development of strategic and operational plans for the assigned area.
2. Establish and administer departmental policies and procedures while ensuring high standards of care.
3. Evaluate and recommend equipment and supplies, ensuring their effective use.
4. Foster strong relationships with physicians to enhance departmental programs and patient referrals.
5. Maintain and oversee departmental records, reports, and quality assurance initiatives.
6. Supervise the development of patient care plans and ensure accurate medical records.
7. Review departmental performance and implement necessary improvements to comply with regulatory standards.
8. Manage departmental budgets and monitor expenditures.

Qualifications:
Education:
Master's Degree in a related discipline within 36 months of assignment.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of directly related experience.
Credentials:
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers within 30 days; NM PT or OT or SLP License.

Physical Requirements:
This role involves sedentary work, requiring the ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.

Working Conditions:
Moderate exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials may occur. The position is subject to annual performance appraisals.
