Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, care for hospitalized patients, and maintain patient medical records.

You will work closely with other team members to ensure the best possible care for our patients. This includes communicating effectively with pet owners, preparing patients for surgery, and maintaining equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, including preparing patients, restraining patients, and maintaining equipment
  • Care for hospitalized patients, including taking vital signs, collecting samples, and administering medications
  • Maintain patient medical records, including documenting patient information and updating records
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners, including answering questions and providing updates on patient status
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years of experience working in a veterinary hospital or clinic
  • Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
