**Job Description:** As an Animal Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the animal care team and contributing to the delivery of high-quality medicine and service. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing support to the animal care team with tasks such as preparing rooms, caring for animals, and maintaining equipment.
  • Assisting with animal intake, including checking-in animals, reviewing medical histories, and administering medications.
  • Contributing to the maintenance of a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to infection control protocols and biosecurity measures.
  • Supporting the team with tasks such as restocking supplies, ordering materials, and performing routine cleaning duties.
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge related to animal care and welfare.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:** To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
  • Basic knowledge of animal behavior, anatomy, and physiology, or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to lift animals safely, up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
