Key Responsibilities

The Associate Area Manager at Jeremiah's Italian Ice will oversee two Company locations in the Tampa, FL area. This role is crucial in managing stores within a designated territory, supporting store managers, and implementing operational standards.

Main Objectives:

  • Oversight of daily operations in assigned stores
  • Collaboration with store managers to ensure alignment with Jeremiahs Core Values
  • Implementation of operational standards and company initiatives

Essential Functions

  1. Partners with the Area Manager to develop store managers, creating a talent pipeline for promotion within the territory
  2. Promotes a 5-star customer service experience, fostering a positive team culture across stores
  3. Supports the implementation of company initiatives, developing store-level action plans that align with operational objectives
  4. Participates in team meetings, delivering updates on store performance, team development, and operational challenges
  5. Provides feedback and guidance to Squad Members, working with store management to address training and development needs
  6. Conducts regular check-ins with store managers and assists in staffing management as needed
  7. Ensures compliance with wage and hour laws for all team members
  8. Monitors daily operations, providing hands-on support and guidance to store-level managers to meet operational goals
  9. Conducts monthly store inspections to ensure adherence to health and safety standards, inventory management, and brand standards
  10. Frequently visits each assigned store to review performance, address challenges, and support store management
  11. Assists in planning and coordinating store repairs and maintenance alongside store management
  12. Works with store teams to gather customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience
  13. Supports the Area Manager in reviewing store-level financial performance, including sales targets, food costs, and labor expenses
  14. Assists in analyzing financial data to identify trends and develop strategies to enhance store profitability
  15. Coordinates with store-level managers on procurement processes, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with inventory standards
  16. Communicates monthly financial performance summaries with store managers, supporting their understanding of financial metrics and bonus structures

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail or hospitality setting
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and performance analysis
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $65,000-$75,000, depending on experience and qualifications. The salary range reflects the company's commitment to competitive compensation and rewards its employees accordingly.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to move throughout an office space and store (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time

  • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment
  • Ability to travel via automobile for long periods of time

Travel Requirements

Primarily local travel to assigned stores within the designated territory. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
